Make a list of all the things you want to achieve; pay off debt and/or a mortgage, prepare for retirement, take care of college or university for someone close to you, travel, enjoy more free time…Then, ask yourself two questions. 1. How will I feel when I achieve these things? 2. How will I feel when I don’t achieve these things? If you are like most people, your answer to the first question would be something line “great, amazing, fulfilled: while the answer to number 2 might be “lousy, regretful, upset”. Now, just use whichever is more powerful to propel you forward. Tony Robbins suggests we are all simply trying to get out of pain and into feeling better.
